REVIEWS
Virtually all our herbal vaporizers have manual or digital temperature control. Vaporizers with temperature control can be used with hundreds of herbs that have different temperature ranges. We prefer that all our units must have some form of temp control and we consider it the MOST important feature for a true herbal vaporizer. There are quite a few options for vaporization but there are only a few that are safe and work well. Our goal is to offer herbal vaporizers that can be used with hundreds of herbs effectively and safely.

Vapir NO2 Vaporizer Review (Portable/PlugIn) - (1-2 users)
Made by Advanced Inhalation Revolutions - Air 2
1 Year warranty (extended available)
The Vapir NO2 is a great addition to the portable vaporizer family and also features plug in mode. Vapir has had the Oxygen out for years and decided, they needed to make a highend portable vaporizer that everyone would be happy with. So they took everything they learned and heard from clients over the years, put it all in one package and released the NO2.
The heat time is fast, about 1 minute in battery mode and less than 30 seconds while plugged in. The battery is always charging when the unit is on and plugged in, even while in use. Loading your herbs is easy, just unscrew the top and use the loader spoon to put it in. You inhale out of a tube ontop of the unit which helps cool the vapor down. Overall its a very good looking units and features full digital temperature control (up to 400F). The battery lasts 1 hour and replacement batteries are easy to buy.
Pros:
- Very affordable
- Light weight, easy to hold
- Easy to load and use
- Lots of vapor production
- Long lasting BUILT IN battery
- Digital Temperature control (you can change temp while using)
- Durable design
Cons:
- Could use a bit more air flow to allow easier inhalation
Conclusion:
For a portable unit with plug in feature, the NO2 is the unit to beat right now. You have full control over your temperature, can use it while plugged in to the wall or on 1 hour battery. Its super easy to use and maintain, its also very affordable. The 1 year warranty is quite reasonable for a portable unit and its VERY effective at producing vapor. Whether you are on the go or near AC, the NO2 is a great choice.
The Extreme Q Digital Herbal Vaporizer
Made by Arizer
3 year warranty (lifetime on heater)
* see bottom of this review for v-tower review*
The maker of the V-Tower decided that more features were needed and released a higher end model called the Extreme. It is a full kit that includes accessories for direct flow as well as inflating bags. Digital temperature control, remote control, auto shut off timer, fan speed control, the works. Every feature with the one exception of a water tool which could probably be rigged on your own with a bit of effort.
The fan control is really nice for controlling the vapor flow when using direct inhalation. You can go from whip only (no fan) all the way through 3 different fan speeds. The remote control makes switching fan speeds easy from your sitting back position. A balloon kit is available for extra bags and they are quite easy to assemble.
The heater itself is ceramic and every attachment is glass making the Extreme a very smooth experience. If you don't like any extra flavors and want to taste pure vapor, this is one of the best vaporizer on the market.
Extreme Q details: In January 2010 Arizer released the Extreme Q, the sequel to the Extreme. From a user stand point, the unit looks very similar and it works close to the same way. Inside though, the unit has received numerous upgrades. A more effecient quieter fan (up to 77% quieter), up to 50% energy savings, multiple heat sensors, solid state circuitry and an improved LCD screen. So despite being one of the market leaders, they took an already good unit and stepped it up with a bunch of upgrades, very impressive.
Pros:
- Every feature you want
- Direct Flow and Balloon Inflation
- Glass on glass attachments
- Fan Speed Control
- Digital Temperature control
- Affordable
Cons:
Conclusion:
For those that are concerned about durability, the extreme has a serious warranty to back it up. 3 year warranty on manufacturer defects and a lifetime warranty on the ceramic heater, you can't go wrong. Arizer is serious about their products, that's obvious just by the quality of the vaporizer.
We are definitely happy with the Extreme Q, it has everything you want at a price most people can afford. If you are looking for a high end vaporizer that has everything you could want at a mid range vaporizer price, you found it with the Extreme.
V-Tower Digital Herbal Vaporizer Review:
The V-Tower is just an Extreme vaporizer with no fan and no ability to inflate balloons, it also doesn't include a remote control. It has a 2 year warranty, digital temp control, nice glass attachments, ceramic heater, smooth vapor, you just have to rely on your own lung power to produce vapor and you will never be able to fill up a bag. For clients that prefer direct flow over bag use and don't intend to use the bag feature on the Extreme, this is not a concern. If you are on a more constrained budget and can't afford the extra money on the Extreme, the V-Tower is a great choice.
Vapir Oxygen 4.0 Mini Battery / AC Vaporizer - (1-2 users)
Made by Advanced Inhalation Revolutions - Air 2
1 Year warranty (extended available)
The Vapir Oxygen is here, finally a portable unit that truly satisfies all types of users. In all our years experience, we have never had a unit that is capable of battery and AC work as well as the Oxygen 2.0. With an improved heater, added screens and improved air flow control, the Oxygen 2.0 produces plenty of vapor at ALL TEMPERATURE ranges.
The unit is whip based and quite attractive, it's also features full digital temperature control (up to 400F). It's very affordable, easy to use and has a long lasting battery (up to 1 hour of use); it's also compact to the point of fitting in your pocket.
Heat up time on the Oxygen is very reasonable; it does take a bit of time to heat up to max temp but we are only talking minutes. There is even a protective cover to keep most of
the heat away from the user.
Pros:
- Very affordable
- Easy to use
- Lots of vapor production
- Long lasting battery
- Digital Temperature control
- Compact / light weight
Cons:
- Slight manufacturing smell initially, goes away quickly
Conclusion:
The Oxygen is a very good portable unit; it has every feature you need, it works great at all temperatures and it is truly affordable. We are impressed with its performance across the board, the oxygen is a very effective vaporizer. There is no question that this is the battery operated unit to beat, especially when you factor in its low pricing. If you have been waiting for a really good portable unit that can run on battery or plug into the wall, the wait is finally over!!

Vapir One V5.0 Review - (1-3 users)

The Vapir One 5.0 is the latest Vapir One unit, it is fully tweaked with the latest software revision and feature an upgraded fan for more durability and longer life. A silicon ring friction based top is now standard which allows a nice seal and a top that stays tightly in place. Digital temperature control is standard and it can handle its full temperature range easily. Despite being corded, it is very portable thanks to its light weight and 8 foot cord. It is an effective forced air herbal vaporizer and has every feature you need.

Vapor Warez 3G Hands Free Whip Vaporizer - (1-3 users)
Made by www.vaporwarez.com
5 year manufacturer warranty
For the past 2+ years we have been a forced air only vaporizer company. This was due to the
fact that other designs just didn't offer the same efficiency and features we required. After
trying out the Vapor Warez 3rd generation, we decided we had to offer it to our clients.
Heat up time is slow but that was expected, its recommended you let it up for at least 5+
minutes and 10 minutes is ideal. Once you are heated, you can leave it on while using so that
does compensate for the initial wait. The unit lacks exact temperature control but you
can easily figure out the best setting for low, medium and high temperature herbs after a bit of
use. The hands free whip is very easy to use and we were ultra impressed with how easily
we managed to produce vapor. It was so smooth in fact that we sometimes got more than
anticipated; the warez definitely accels at efficiency and vapor production. The Vapor Warez does use a standard box design but we found out that its all about the heating element, the whip and how well the unit is fine tuned. In those departments, the vapor warez is tops and we were very impressed.
Pros:
- 5 Year Warranty
- Reliable ceramic heater
- Makes no noise while on
- Easy to use hands free whip
- Basic temperature control
- Solid casing
Cons:
- Not a forced air unit (no bag support)
- Lacks specific temp control
Conclusion:
As a box vaporizer, we weren't expecting much and we got a lot more than we expected. We do want digital temp control for future versions but that's about it. The unit is affordable, works well, has a great warranty and is very easy to use. If you like whip vaporizers, you will be very happy with this unit.
Vapor Matic Deluxe Review - (1-4 users)
Made by Advanced Inhalation Revolutions - Air 2
3 Year manufacturer warranty
The Vapor Matic is a slick retro looking unit, it has stainless steal casing and stylish controls. Using dials, you get full fan speed control this time around - higher speed was optimal for cooling the unit, medium speed was the best for use, low speed is useful if you want to leave the unit on and have the fan be quieter. Featuring digital temperature display and the option to switch between F and C modes, optimal features for any herbal vaporizer.
As a desktop unit, its still fairly portable thanks to its small size but you don't buy a desktop vaporizer for portability. As a desktop, there is no holding involved and using bags is pretty simple. Switching bags is also easy, especially if you have more than one person. It can be hard to get a good position for direct flow (tube / h20 tool) but it's real easy once you have everything set up properly. The main kit comes with bags as well as a tube, the H20 Tool is included when you buy from us. Leaking is pretty much non existent, we didn't really notice any during our tests.
Heat up time on the Vapor Matic is so low its not even worth timing, the heater is definitely very powerful and you will never complain about waiting. At low and medium temps, the VaporMatic is a great unit; at high temps up to 176C (349F), the Vapor Matic fluctuates more but performs well enough. However, at Ultra High Temps, thanks to the super powerful heater and fan blowing, you can get fluctuations that can burn your herb. At the recommended max of 176C, the unit spends most of its time at even higher temps (180C to 200C) but it doesn't get too high which is why the manual clearly recommends you stay in the 120C to 176C range. There are a handful of herbs that require continuous temps close to 200C which makes this unit not their best choice; luckily that doesn't apply to 90% of herbs so this is a non issue for most users - check our herbs page for details.
Pros:
- Slick retro look
- Stainless Steel
- Very tough vaporizer
- Tube and Bag support
- Fairly compact
- Digital Temp display
Cons:
- Fan could be quieter
- Unstable temperature control, can combust
Conclusion:
The Vapor Matic is truly impressive while still being affordable. It looks good and is compact, its super easy to use and works well with bag and direct flow. Unfortunately it has bad temperature control making high temp use problematic.
Volcano Classic / Digit Review (1-4 users)
Made by Storz & Bickel
3 Year Classic Warranty / 2 Year Digit Warranty
The Volcano is a bag based table top herbal Vaporizer made by Storz and Bickel. It is considered one of the best herbal vaporizers and it won't disappoint you. It comes in a well packaged retail cardboard box with everything needed. The Volcano is very easy to use and the quality of the unit is top notch; it also comes with a long manufacturer warranty. You can choose from the Solid Valve System (the original) which requires a bit of learning for bag assembly and cleaning; the newer Easy Valve system is easy across the board and is recommended for new users. Overall there are very few bad things to say; anyone who is serious about vaporization should consider spending the extra money on the Volcano vaporizer.
Pros:
- Accurate Temperature Control
Manual for Classic, Digital for Digit
- Extremely effective vaporizer
- Uses bag to contain vapor
- Valve system prevents leaking
- Can stay heated for long periods of time
- 3 Year warranty for Classic / 2 Year for Digit
Digit Specific Pros:
- Even more accurate temperature control
- 20 Minute Auto Shut Off
Cons:
- Large unit, not very portable
- Bag only (no direct flow)
- Expensive
Digit Cons:
- Shorter Warranty (2 Year vs 3 Year)
The Volcano introduced the industry to storing vapor into a bag and its valve system is unmatched. It is no question the best unit on the market for bag users and you just don't get an unhappy Volcano client. Now that they offer the Volcano Digit with Digital Temperature Control, the Volcano systems offer everything you could want except for direct flow. The Volcano is a very tough unit and the manufacturer is fantastic at customer care; a GREAT choice if you can afford it.
Vapir Classic Review (Cordless and NicoHale) (1-2 users)
Made by Advanced Inhalation Revolutions - Air 2
90 Day Warranty (1 year available)
The Vapir Classics are the original vaporizers from Air 2, they are solid units that work well.
The packaging is a retail cardboard box that includes everything needed.
The Vapir Classic is the first vaporizer to come out that offered digital temperature control, it is now quite affordable. They are only capable of tube and is mostly meant for low to medium temperature herbs. The NicoHale edition also comes with a free H20 Tool and NicoHale disks, making it a great option for anyone trying to stop smoking tobacco. The Cordless includes a lithium battery which allows up to 20 minutes of vaporization in cordless mode.
There is a supercharger available for high temp herb users but we recommend the Volcano or Vapir One if you will be using high temperature herbs.
Pros:
- Digital Temperature Control
- Very effective vaporizer
- Reasonably sized unit
- Quite affordable
- Reliable
Cons:
- Tube only
- Leaks vapor when user not inhaling
- Supercharger recommended for high temp herbs
A good vaporizer that has proven itself for years, it definitely has passed the test of time. If you are a low to medium temp herb user that needs cordless, the Vapir Classic cordless is your best bet by far. The NicoHale kits are a great choice for tobacco users that don't need cordless.
High Temp Herb Users (no supercharger): Purchase Vapir One, Voodoo, or Volcano
* Current owners of the Vapir Classic can purchase the Supercharger for improved performance (corded mode)
Visit our herb page if you aren't sure what temperature range you require.
